The Little Issues E-newsletter #475 – Life, laughter, and many nice meals!

Welcome to the weekend, my mates! I spent barely an hour outdoors this morning, and I’m fortunately cooling off within the a/c now. It nonetheless boggles my thoughts that 80 or 90 levels in Ohio, with all of the moisture within the air, feels so totally different from the dry warmth in Arizona. I’ll by no means miss these months-on-end temps over 100, however I’ve to confess that there are occasions when the humidity dims the shine on Ohio. Only a tiny bit, although – I’m nonetheless deeply in love with my lovely Ohio.

ON THE BLOGS THIS WEEK:  Crunchy bite-sized items of recent greens, herbs, and ham, mixed with a lightweight and creamy dressing, make this ham pasta salad a standout.

This garlicky asparagus pasta features a beneficiant handful of freshly shredded Parmesan cheese, salty bacon, a squeeze of recent lemon, and a sprinkling of crimson pepper flakes as an ideal match to the recent taste of asparagus.

Brimming with juicy pineapple and colourful bell peppers, this pineapple rooster stir fry is somewhat bit tangy, somewhat bit candy, fairly to take a look at, and completely stuffed with taste.

Chilled cubes of watermelon tossed with lemon juice, salt, and a touch of spice are topped with skinny ribbons of basil on this watermelon basil salad. Whether or not you eat it as is or high it with goat cheese or feta, it’s destined to be a surefire summer season hit!

Candy peas, salty bacon, and sharp cheddar cheese coated in a creamy, tangy dressing add as much as a straightforward, tasty summer season facet dish. This bacon pea salad is a timeless favourite that may be a welcome addition to any meal.

There’s one thing about strawberry sorbet that seems like pure summer season in a bowl. It’s shiny, refreshing, and so easy, it nearly seems like a magic trick. Simply strawberries, lemon, sugar, and a pinch of salt—that’s it.

Juicy, sun-ripened peaches mingle with the sweetness of recent blueberries beneath a heavenly brown sugar crust on this peach blueberry crisp. That is one dessert value daydreaming over.

What I’m CRAVING: Each attainable fruit and vegetable, please. I’d like a serving of Lynne’s couscous rooster salad and Tricia’s salmon asparagus salad, with a facet of Sue’s burrata beet salad, a slice of Leigh Anne’s strawberry cream cake, and a handful of Christi’s lemon tarts

My FAVORITE THING this week is that this cordless rechargable mini field cutter. This little device has been so useful for breaking down packing containers!

What I’m LISTENING to: Coming House by Drew and Ellie Holcomb. I’ve actually been having fun with this album. It all the time makes me grin when a husband spouse duo makes music collectively, and these two? They’re magic collectively.

“From the rising of the solar to its setting, the title of the Lord is to be praised!” Psalm 113:3 ESV

Wishing you a stunning week stuffed with little issues that make you smile!

Mary
