Glentauchers 23 yo 2000/2023 (55.8%, Gordon & MacPhail, Connoisseurs Alternative for Kensington Wine Market, 1st fill sherry hogshead, cask #16602001, 329 bottles) 
Color: amber. Nostril: beautiful sherry, with a bit of gunpowder to start, then baggage of black nougat, very dry currants, a contact of crème de menthe, correct previous oloroso, and hand-sliced pata negra—by no means machine-cut, heavens no! With water: whoof, gasoline, truffle, charcoal… Mouth (neat): that modelling clay high quality returns alongside the gunpowder, clearly a contact of sulphur, then fig marmalade of the interstellar variety. The presence of this type of sulphur can set off debates of galactic proportions, as we all know. With water: water solely boosts the sulphuric aspect.
